Starfish Greathearts Foundation Beneficiaries

Starfish believes that all children should be treated with dignity and respect and should be entitled to their basic human rights.  We strive for a holistic response (physical, mental, emotional, social) to issues affecting orphaned and vulnerable children.  We believe the best solutions to this devastating pandemic are led from within the local communities.

Starfish currently works in eight of the nine South African provinces, partnering with both non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and emerging community-based organisations (CBOs) that provide care and support to orphaned and vulnerable children.

CBO's have formed organically in various communities throughout the country in response to the orphan crisis.
